
Franz Szymanski
Senior Project Manager
Franz Szymanski has over 30 years of experience in systems engineering, project management and product development. He has lead teams of engineers and scientists in the development of sophisticated systems in defense, internet, aviation, microelectronics and energy. He has also been involved in numerous startup companies and efforts funded by venture capital.
While at America Online, he developed digital content publishing systems and re-architected the email system.
His efforts in defense and avionics include work for the FAA, Navy, and Marine Corps. He led system architecture for the primary electronic warfare and airborne electronic intelligence data fusion system and an aircraft mission planning system used by the carrier fleet worldwide.
Franz helped develop a National Oil and Gas Data Repository (Morocco) and assessed opportunity sets for CO2 sequestration at industrial point sources. As a technologist and engineering manager, he has significant experience in all phases of the system development life cycle.
Franz holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from University of California at Los Angeles.
