Ramon Alvarado

Ramon Alvarado is reservoir engineer with decades of diversified experience in the oil and gas industry, including reservoir management, integrated reservoir studies, field revitalization and field development plans. He serves as a team participant and supervisor for technical projects.

Ramon has extensive experience in synergistic approaches to petroleum issues. His career has been largely international, covering projects on five continents. He speaks Spanish, English, and Indonesian and enjoys working with people from diverse cultural backgrounds.

Ramon earned MS and BS degrees in petroleum engineering from the University of Southern California.

He has worked for Petróleos de Venezuela, S.A., Shell International (chief petroleum engineer) and as a consultant. He has conducted drilling engineering, well completions operations and field production facilities monitoring and evaluation, and reservoir engineering and management. He has developed and participated in the implementation of infill drilling, workovers and well stimulation programs aimed at field reactivation.

He has held several technical and supervising positions and participated in major company projects ranging from the management of waterflood and steamflood projects and to the application of horizontal well drilling technology to CO2 flood enhanced oil recovery design. He has directed field development plans and evaluations of new business opportunities.
