Strategic Energy Assessment of an Indian Reservation

Under funding from the Department of the Interior, Bureau of Indian Affairs, Division of Energy and Minerals Development, Enegis was contracted by a tribe to study the reservation’s energy resources.  As an undivided interest owner of the resources on the reservation, the Tribe wished to perform an effort of “due diligence” to provide strategic knowledge of what the future can hold in terms of production from the application of advanced technology at existing oil fields and understanding other latent resources.  The reservation not only contains a number of unconventional and conventional oil and gas plays.  Following this effort, Enegis wrote a 10-year business fill cash flow business plan that included resource productivity, empirical capital and operating costs, environmental costs, financing and other requirements.  These efforts have been instrumental in attempts to attract material amounts of investment to the reservation.
